I am an student of Robotic and Embedded Systems at University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Arizona. I have been coming to this university since summer 2019. All my focus at this university are about Robotics, and Embedded Systems. Yet, not all my background and what I’m passionate about is just about Robotics.
I’ve earned Associate’s degree from Bucks County Community College in Applied Engineering of Technology, and a Certification from Penn State University on Nanofabrication manufacturing technology. I am a person that like to help people every way I can, and I try to put my knowledge about technology to put it in practice by helping my workplace and the community.
The first project experience happened at A-Lok product Inc as an intern. I had a small background in technology, and I had just finish my Nano-technology certificate, and I learned a lot about Nano technology, and I became a machinist at The Hospital of Temple University in Philadelphia PA. While working for a urologist MD, I learned a lot about the human body, but more importantly I learned about Robotic surgeries, and Medical devices manufacturing. I fixed and repair many medical robotic devices at Temple University Hospital, and I know I didn’t help the people physically, but I make sure that all the medical devices under my supervision where up to standards and performing 100% at all times. I finished my internship, and I was really grateful with what I have accomplished, but I was ready for the next level on my professional career.
I have been at INTEL since January of 2019. Working here has been a dream come true. I have been improving my Robotics, and nanotechnologist skills here since I have the opportunity to work on a professional environment, and do a lot projects of my own in here, off course with the supervisor of my GL (Group Leader). On the past year and half I have the privilege of working in the lithography department. The Lithography department is in charge of the manufacturing and inspections of all microprocessors. On March of 2020 when the pandemic of COVID-19 started I was worry about my job, losing my job because the outbreak. But I didn’t know that I was consider and essential worker, and the opportunity I had to help fight this pandemic was a rewarding opportunity.
On March of 2020, I got an opportunity to work half of my shifts building Respirators, and working with Intel mechatronic team. During 3 exhausting months we were able to fabricate over 7000 respirators and donate them to the hospitals in need in the country. I was happy that with my background I was able to help communities, and hospital with respirators so when the people I need come, they have what they need to recover.
Lastly, during this pandemic I was able to buy a 3D printer, and do face mask for my family, and friends that are working during this pandemic, and well as for my co-workers. I felt a lot joy to use my knowledge of CAD, and 3D design to help, and try to keep the people I love, and know safe from everything that’s happening around the world.
Finally, as an employee of Intel I am proud of what I have accomplish here in just a little over a year. My main GOAL in life is to work in NASA. I think with all the knowledge I have acquired the past years in schools, and the 4+ years of professional experience put me closer to my dream. But for now I tent to keep working at Intel and helping the community the only way I know so far, by putting my knowledge in each project assigned hoping that it will help the community one way of another.
